Pow! updates, first in person screenings and free swag!
All of the screenings we have scheduled in March and April 2025 + more stuff!
It’s been a whirlwind past few months in the Pow! universe and you’re about to get sucked in, baby!
After around a year and a half of working on Pow! we exported the final cut last month. Here’s a picture of me right after we exported the digital cinema package file for festival screenings!
With the film finished (and I’m so proud of it!) we’ve switched to promotions mode. Over the past few weeks, we finished the official Pow! poster and trailer! The trailer should be out in the next month or so, and you can see the poster, drawn by our fantastic character designer Morgan Thompson and put together by our Executive Producer Harold Moss of FlickerLab below!
The fantastic Vincent Shilling of Native Viewpoint interviewed me about Pow! and showed off a few first look images of the short which you can read and check out here. Vincent is one of the top journalists covering Native Hollywood and I’m so stoked I could give him a first look at the film!
And one of the reasons we’re rushing out all of this promotional material is that we have a bunch of premieres in the books! I’ll be at many of these screenings in person and if you see me at a screening, flag me down and I’ll give you free Pow! swag. More on that in a second.
First, here is a complete list of every Pow! screening in March and April 2025. This is your first chance to watch this film! Ticket links are hyperlinked in the film festival’s name.

This is a dream film festival lineup for me for our first screenings! Māoriland and Phoenix Film Festival have been very supportive of my work over the years, and CIFF, Athens, Riverrun and AmDocs are all Oscar Qualifying film festivals! One of my goals with Pow! was to show that contemporary Native stories can compete at that level in the animation space and to screen at those festivals is extremely validating!
Since a lot of our premieres are close together, I thought it’d be fun (and exhausting) to fly out to a bunch of them and make a tour of it. With that in mind, I came up with the “Pow! Late March - Early April 2025 Tour!”
These four screenings I will be personally flying out to. It totals around 24,000 miles of travel (the circumference of the Earth!) within like 10 days. I’m actually in New Zealand as I write this in preparation for our World Premiere and I’m already very tired.
Come to any of the below screenings to watch Pow!, meet me in person and watch me discuss the film and then flag me down afterwards for a free Pow! keychain!
These keychains are very limited and I’m not sure how many orders I’ll be making of them, so if you’d like one, come to one of these screenings! And one more time. Here are the four screenings I’ll be attending as part of the “Pow! Late March - Early April 2025 Tour!”
Friday, March 28th @ 11am - Māoriland Film Festival - Ōtaki, New Zealand
Sunday, March 30th @ 11am - AmDocs Film Festival - Palm Springs, California
Tuesday, April 1st @ 2:50pm - Phoenix Film Festival - Phoenix, Arizona
Saturday, April 5th @ Noon - Cleveland International Film Festival - Cleveland, Ohio
We’re still very early days on our film festival run, and there are more screenings I’ll be announcing soon. If you’d like a Pow! screening near you, reach out via social media and I’ll try to make it happen!
